Cheapest place to get tires in cape town

replaced my tyres at bmw claremont today , 18" pirelli p zero runflats grand total including fitment , alignment etc

R10600.

Super stoked , every other tyres place quoted in the 15k region.

Just checked out that BMW web address and it's quite cool actually.
Checked out my tyre prices and it came to R3500 through BMW. I just bought last week and that was the same price they quoted me.
Found a pair at L & Z auto in maitland at R3300 though and found them to be competitively priced.

Don't bmw only fit bridgestone though?



I eventually got mine from supa quick for bridgestone potenza re050 17" rft @ 1600 each inclusive.
Compared to bmw who wanted 2500 and most other places were about 2000 too.

that is an awesome price, must have been "old" stock, or SupaQuick has some serious buying power (hence supplier discount), the base price from suppliers, before VAT and before any mark up is already around the R1650 range, so you did extremely well.

They can sell you any tyre if you request it.

Yes! I know.
But I'm trying to say I doubt its old stock. So... not sure how they were able to offer me that price. Though I know for a fact thats not their normal retail price. That was discounted

Some years ago I needed a new pair of Bridgestone RE050A RFT's and the best prices that I was quoted was from a few Supa Quick branches, but then there was a special that BMW SMG was running and I phoned to confirm the price and tyre spec. Got there only to discover that they had not listened to me and were quoting me for V speed rated tyres - driving all the way from Durbanville during working hours and messing me around, I had a bit of a "vloermoer"! They eventually agreed to order the correct speed rating for me and supply at the advertised price as per what I had confirmed over the phone. And I don't feel bad at all - I still have a pair of perfectly good hardly used Hankook RFT's that I had to remove because they are not "BMW approved", whereas the horrid old Continental SC2 RFT's that were on the car before are...

Was at SMG last week.They did have a special on tyres. maybe still on!
otherwise i bought 2 sets at L&Z in maitland. Really good guys.
