CarServiceCity- use or not? 320d

I want to know, I have a e46 2004 320d and need to go for a major service. Is it okay to take it to Car Service City? (Northridding, Randburg)

and reset of instrument panel for 2.2K
And the Best of All is All OEM parts

Is this OEM parts and do they give you printout off other faults and do they REset your service Lights. ?

What is included in their interpretation of Major Service?

They do a 62 point check, and yes they reset the timer and let me double check the parts.

Ok So let me get this right...


They do a 62 point check and then they let you know if they Found any other Problems on the Car and you have the option to repair or replace then?

Witch will cost considerately More.

Do they replace all the filters as well included. and give you the old ones.

Something is FISHY!

Okay,

They said R1695.00 for major service: change of Oil, Oil filter, Diesel filter and Air filter. Then they do the 62 point check and will give you the results on that to let you know what else might need your attention.

No. Not OEM parts and they will eventually call you while your car is there with a long list of items that need to be replaced - that's how they roll :rollsmile:

Try the 2 places mentioned above or in PTA there is also Fastserv Auto (0123466450) in Brooklyn and S&N in Centurion (0126618100) both are BMW specialists IMO.

Thanks guy, just wanted to know what the thoughts out there was concerning Service City and more.

BTW the part they use are from GUD, followed up on that.

This is my first BMW and already I am hooked, so I can call myself a BMW Fanatic.

These car service city guys are mostly terrible at customer service.

I had a major issue with them regarding charging me for hidden costs and poor workmanship.

I will never recommend the brand to them.

With the same breath, I definitely say that people should NEVER use E-Car Kyalami(at Engen Garage next to Kyalami Race Track).
