Cars & Coffee - Cape Town

Hi Guys,

On DSTV, Ignition channel 265 on Chasing Classic Cars they went to a "Coffee and Cars" in California The idea is kindof a parkoff with all marques.

I would love to do a monthly meeting of cars, no criteria, just your pride and joy. Something in a public place where people can see some cars they may never see ordinarily or just something different or get a chance to see something up close that they may only see on the road.

Sunday 29th May. 09:00. Parking along Beach Road beachfront Muizenberg (Surfers Corner).

Please put it out there to any other forums, I know I would like to see some interesting vehicles and stuff.

Maybe each vehicle should have a little blurb / pictorial?

PS. It may be best to arrive a little early if you want to get a spot in front of the coffee shop or grassed play area. There has been good response from the SA Musclecar and Streetracer forums.

I saw your post on the Muscle Car forum. I'm very tempted, but I have to choose to which events I go as driving all the way from Somerset west every time gets expensive with a V8 :mmm: :mmm:

There better be tons of picks :thumb:

Tow the V8 behind a golof...... or disconect 4 plug leads, and anywhere Somerset West is a stone throw from Muizenberg, you could almost freewheel down N2 and onto Baden Powell...

I hope that lots of people come, car club outings tend to get boring because you all pitch up in similar vehicles and see the same guys at every outing. I am hoping (please please please) to see some exotics, originals, customised and rare vehicles. The more varied the selection the more interesting for all petrolheads.

By default there is a Welcome Thread created under New Members section, but we so many new members that the posts kinda move down pretty quick.
You can intro yourself in the Showroom Section and post some picks of your ride.


For us it's not just about the cars, it's about making some friends along the way.

Oh and the prices from all the local BMW dealers makes all BMW's exotics :thumbsup:
