Car Transporters JHB to CPTN

Hi guys,

Would like to transport a vehicle I am planning on buying shortly from seller in JHB down to CPTN .......... It's a 330d sedan ........... anyone knows of a reputable service that doesn't take like 14 working days and doesn't ask R12k ........... will appreciate good guidance please guys.

I did this back in 2007.
The company I used is no longer in business however.
Still, a word of advice is to make sure that your insurance will cover your car while it is being transported.
If it is covered 100%, then you don't need the transporter to provide insurance for your car.
This can cut down the transporter cost.

As part of the recent shafting experience by a dealer in Cape Town, I used One Logix VDS. They charged about R6800 incl vat from JHB to Cpt (and R4500 the other way)…

I dealt with Grant who was friendly and, after I explained my situation, empathetic…but empathy don’t pay the bills. He couldn’t discount these rates any further, especially the Jhb to Cpt route since that route is their bread and butter, as he put it.

Oh and there was also a small ding on the front bumper from the trip from Cpt to Jhb (when I first received the car); still remains to be seen whose fault that was, whether the dealer or the logistics company (both denied it needless to say).

Always get the dealer/sender to take a video of the entire vehicle just before it gets loaded onto the carrier.

Try these guys, I've used them multiple times moving cars between the two cities, and they are super jacked. They collect Tuesdays and Thursdays, if they collect on a Tuesday you'll have your car before the end of the week. They're based out of PE. Last time I transported a car (Nissan Micra) they charged me about R5k.
