So good luck.

So if i walk into VW and i tell them i want a quote does that mean they will return my car to me stripped after quotation ?

What I mean is, They are word playing on their paperwork in order to force people to pay them money, that's what I mean.

This is more common than one might think.

I would rather take the car back already stripped if the work was not accepted, because now they've lost business, and so they're going to re-assemble the car with less respect or courtesy because you don't want to give them the business. Their feelings are hurt. They will over-tighten bolts, leave bolts missing, "forget" to replace something, and so on.

On a small positive, taking a stripped vehicle to another more trusted mechanic will save you the charge of one hour of labour.

Just go there with some plastic, line the boot, and ask them to put all the parts into the boot for you and have the car towed away.

What I mean is, They are word playing on their paperwork in order to force people to pay them money, that's what I mean.

Spot on . So just got off the line with head office a woman named vanessa . Her tone defensive from the get go . . . Long and short they not will to assist the wording said strip and quote only they will charge additional for reassembling it .

Even after i offered to pay for the gaskets ect .

Anyway going there with a tow truck now amd best believe they not getting a cent out of me !
