Car remote jamming is a popular way for criminals to gain access to your vehicle.

Local security companies are now promoting a device – the Sanji ZX JamAlert – which warns you if criminals are signal jamming your remote.

The Sanji ZX JamAlert is connected to your car’s battery, and has a siren which goes off if someone is attempting to jam your signal.

The device retails for around R600, and is available from Compusafe and other retailers in South Africa.

The video below from EWN explains how the Sanji ZX JamAlert works.

Thanks for the post, I opened my bonnet the other day and was wondering what this non - OEM gadget was...

It was installed so poorly and the bracket was way over sized and rubbing against the airbox.

Have re-installed it properly now.

Cool device

Sad we have to resort to yet more security measures to safeguard our cars and assets.

Hmm. I think it's better just to lock your car while you are actually looking at it. If you are an idiot and walk away without confirming your car is locked then you should have your car stolen.

This device is basically an idiot device.

So this thing sirens every time you use your gate remote?

LOL :crazylaugh:

and your garage door?

All jokes aside I'm pretty sure these all run on different frequencies else every time you locked your car your gate would open, your garage door would close and all hell would break loose...

Jamming using the old gate remotes is because I produced a continuous loud broad frequency analog squark (how can you tell I know nothing about electronics?) That drowns out the delicate dainty chirp of your car remote. So if you hold down your garage remote the light beeps continuously? You are now jamming any car remote in the immediate area.

I know several people that have been caught badly with this. And insurance is an issue as there are no visible signs of a break in.

Best is to visually check you car is locked.
