Firstly I wanna thank Lejuan and Exede for the great service and advice they give.
After reading this thread I contacted Le juan to find out what can i do to get more power out of my R53...
He recommended that i do a decat and stage2 software as i'm already running a 17% pulley.
He then organised the decat to be done by Profit and then met me there to read my file and sent it to Joburg.
Meanwhile i was waiting anxiously to get the map loaded to my car and while waiting on that i drove the car around a bit after the decat....what a feeling with just the decat...I could feel the car pulling a bit stronger and is quite happy with the tone of the xhaust.
I was gonna do a 1 box system but le juan advised me not to waste money on it as it will be quite loud and wont do much of a difference and a buddy of mine told me the same as he did it on his R53.
Anyway....le juan received the map and arranged to meet me to load it.
After loading the map....all i could say was WOW:joy:
What a difference:joy: the revs climb quicker and acceleration was out of this world.
I couldn't wait to test it against another car....low and behold i ran into another R53 with just exhaust and the driver was keen to go:joy:
From launch it was all over for the other R53.....I just opened up train lenghts on him.
had a few runs ins with K20's and RunX's and left them for dead everytime...:joy:

All in all...You guys made another customer extremely happy and i thank you guys especially le juan with his patience with all my questions that I asked.
I still have to take it for a dyno run to see the results but i'm not too much bothered about that cause the results spoke for itself on the street.
Before Exede i had a run with the one RunX with uniQ chip; exhaust and cai and he murdered me...now i murder him from the word go and just open poles on him:joy:

So thank you once again Exede for sorting my R53 out:joy::thumbs::praise:

Think I will be contacting Lejuan.

Do it buddy...you wont be sorry:joy:
What car do you have?

I just recently bought a M135i....about a month now.

It is an awesome car already but would be interesting to see what i could get out of it....it is still on MP so i would be looking at a plug and play solution...just so the BMW dealer doesn't get a sniff of any "wrong doing"..

Can anyone of the tuners on here maybe tell me that if the car dont perform as it did the first few weeks and you have checked everything as requested by the "Loader" that it can be the sw acting up?
The car is just dead....had it at 2 different workshops and at racetec as well to check and they all guarunteed me my car is 100% perfect where hardware is concerned and also no codes coming up.
So i took it for a dyno run with sw on and it pushed out 122 kw only
Loaded the stock map and it's 125kw:thumbdo:
The "Loader" is convince it's not software related and that my car is sick but everyone else cant find anything wrong with my car.
Loader also said it could be spark plus:hammerhead: it isn't that also...also said too much octane booster can screw plugs up bur i never used octane booster since the map was loaded.
Anyway...looks like i just lost all that money for nothing:smashScreen:

Hi there, I made the map for your car. Software doesn't change over time. Only hardware does. Software is bits & bytes in a map in the EPROM that has to be re-written for anything to change. You previous post shows the car was vastly improved & the performance relative to cars you raced before was markedly better.

So it appears something has changed since then & I can assure you the 1's & 0's in the DME didn't change without someone plugging in a cable. But we can help you to diagnose. Remember that not all faults throw a code. I ran bearings on one of my cars and it made one helluva noise & yet there were no codes. Plugs don't have sensors on them & can have issues without throwing codes. Same for many other components.

I suggest we do a log to gather data on timing, airflow, boost, AFR, etc. Do you have access to anyone with a Bavarian technic cable.

What model is your R53 ?

Common problem over time and responsible for power loss are the IC Couplers. i would suggest a Boost Leak test. I had the same problem on mine.

Hi Sherwin

Thanx for your reply...yes like I told Lejuan also that the car was on another level....I took the car for datalogging and after reading for codes I was told that I will be wasting my money to datalog cause they found no codes or anything wrong.....I don't know any better than to take their word for it as another workshop also inspected the car for boost leaks etc etc and told me the car is fine.
All this running around is costing me money when I can't find the fault.I have to pay for each dyno run as well and it's frustrating when they tell me there's nothing wrong with the car

They did however told me the car smells like it's running rich and feels like it's pulling timing.
Unfortunately I'm leaving for 5weeks on Monday and will only be back in December and can do nothing until I get back.
The car is flashed back to standard now and feels a bit more reponsive now...so i dont know what is going on.
I wanted to Pm you but there's no pm option here...:thumbdo:

Also no one ever touched my car since the map was loaded and the only/first time a cable was plugged in again was when i took it for diagnosis to read the codes.
I will try and call you if it's ok to get your number by Lejuan.

No-one can look at a car and say there is nothing wrong because there are no codes. Neither can anyone "smell" that its running rich. The ONLY way forward, stock or modded is to datalog. And how did they inspect the car for boost leaks? I bet they looked at it and said, "there's no boost leaks". Did they pressure test it?

Agreed with sherwin. The best way is to data log the car. While you probably don't want to use brilliant mechanical but they have a bavarian technique cable. They can also go on the road with the autologic to check actual boost vs required boost.
