Thanks to all you guys for the help and advise. My car is booked in this saturday to skim the disc and check the control arms, shocks and tie rods and steering rack. Like everyone mentioned it has to be one of those. But i will see how it feels after the skimming.

One other symptom is i do get a knocking noise coming from the front wheels/steering rack constantly now. Its not the knock you get when your control arms are worn, but a more of something slotting into place everytime the car moves or turns or i go over a bump or something.

Sounds like brake pads moving?????

You sure when you replaced them last time the discs and pads were of OEM quality and actually for your model?????

The whole thing sounds to me as if your car was equipped with wrong parts

Well are far as i saw they were the correct parts. I was there when they fitted it and had a look at the parts. Next time i should just fit BMW OEM parts, to be on the safe side.

difficult to diagnose from your description. the technicians will hopefully not rip you off.
