Just a heads up to those with e92 335i. Apparently it uses same pads as on M3.

so when ordering they will gove tou wrong pads.

you need to mention that it is same as M3.

wrong pads: smaller surface area, no clip on outside pad, thicker ears
M3 pads: bigger surface area, clips on inner and outer pad, smaller ears.

bought EBC which cost around 1k mark.

where did you get this info from? so are you saying that the M3 and 335i use the same front pads or that the pads from the M3 will retrofit onto the 335i? do you have the part numbers for the pads you bought?

I am in need of front pads at the moment so I am keen to see how this pans out...

pictures????

good luck with those ebc pads.......

you may disappointed.

also ... both options are available on 335 , depends whether your car has M-sport calipers or not....

M-sport calipers are an optional extra.

Hi

Was not aware that msport calipers were optional. My calipers look exactly as what is on the E92 M3.

a>

Also I checked on REALOEM.COM that the calipers that I require are M3 calipers that have clips on both the inner and outer pads

a>

The Brake pads which show under my VIN number does not match whats on my car as well as the shape of the brake housing. These Pads only have a clip on the inner pad

a>

Will fit when I get a chance.

What is wrong with EBC brand if I may ask.

I can't speak for their pads ,
Because I've never used them ,
But if Clive ' s (powerbrake) calipers , braided hoses and service is anything to go by, then it should be a brilliant product .

Update...

Since I was also in need of pads for the front of my car and this thread piped up at the right time, I went passed the dealer and asked them to pull the pads for my car and the e92 m3 as well, visually and without the use of a vernier the pads look identical in shape and size for the contact area as well as the ears, the only notable difference was the outter pad has a locating clip as well that's similar to the inner clip...stealers wanted 2200 for a set of front pads to fit the m3, bought a set of Ferodo's meant for the m3 as well and slapped them on together with new "special discs"

Thanks to the OP for the heads up on this...
