Brake and Park light bulbs

2 of my brake light bulbs recently died on me. Is there anything special about the OEM bulbs or can I just get the replacements at a midas? The OEM bulbs have lasted 8 years so I dont mind paying extra if the quality is much better.

The OEM bulbs are good quality, but nothing special* about them. You should be fine with replacement bulbs from midas, replaced some of mine with replacements from autozone, and they have been working without issue for a bit more than 2 years now.

*Just be sure be sure about the type of by bayonet cap that is used as there are different types, and BMW sometimes like to use the harder to find types.

Yep, BMW often uses the one with the offset pins

I found bulbs in my toolbox that were lying in there for about a year and working perfectly for 3 months counting :thumbs:
