Thanks a lot everyone :D
I do realize there might have been smarter choices in cars I could make but after going through a very bad patch over the last 4 years, things finally turned around and I wanted to buy something that I've always wanted and would be most proud of. Kind of a reward to myself for hanging in there you know...

Today, I managed to remove the phone cradle inside the armrest. Was quite difficult cause I couldn't find any guides anywhere. So a lot of time spent going VERY slowly and VERY gently. But all went great and got extra space in that compartment now.
Really regret not taking photos in the process in case someone else would've also liked to know how to do it...

So...
Fuel consumption when going big:
5.5km/l

Cruise control at 60-70km/h
+-10-11km/l

Last night I drove in a long open road for about 8km, not getting any red traffic lights, no inclines/declines in the road and reset the avg consumption after getting up to speed and activating cruise control and it sat at +-19km/l.
Went down to 18.8 minimum and up to 20.3km/l.
So tomorrow I'll be driving highway for the first time and use cruise control at about 110-120km/h so i'll see what it does.
My gold averaged about 9 or 10km/l so it's not like I'm not used to it! :D

Enjoying this car SO much!
I do drive very carefully.
Although last night I had to push it a little chasing a Polo GTI that tried to push a biker off the road at 100km/h. They kept swerving aggressively at the biker trying to hit him but LUCKILY he dodged it all. Bunch of 18 or so year old guys in the car started trouble with a guy on a bike. They VERY nearly killed the guy on the bike!!!
So i kept a VERY safe following distance while trying to get the cops on the phone... But they stopped when they noticed I'm following them and like 6 guys got out of the car so I left it. And there were 2 girls in the car!!
Bunch of idiots! Hate people like that!
Wasn't hard to keep up though. I just cruised :D

Otherwise I pretty much ALWAYS have cruise control on at 5km/h past the speed limit :)

Anyway
Here's the interior :)
Will post exterior pics when I get the car washed cause it was constantly raining here the past couple of days so it's a little dusty.
There's also a bit of dirt in the interior from walking around outside in the rain and then getting in the car.

Congrats man, and welcome to the 6 series club.

One thing you need to know right of the bat. Everything on this series is hell expensive. By the looks of things yours is a pre 2007, your indicators for example has 2 bulbs on each side. One of those bulbs cost a cool R500 each, and can't be sourced anywhere. Trust me I have tried.
The cupholder for example is another R14'000, yup that number is correct.

now i know why the drivers don't indicate :roflol:

Thx for the the warm welcome from everyone!

So the rain is not stopping in PTA and the car is just getting dirtier. I cringe every time i see the floor mats... Still can't take new photos :(

I reset the journey computer before leaving for work this morning and then while driving on longer stretches i reset the avg fuel as well to see overall stats for the trip and then see what it does in cruise control on open stretches.
When i can keep a constant 120-125km/h on the N4 it would sit at about 14km/l but dropped to about about 12.5km/l when i had to start braking and speeding up behind other cars. Only got worse on the N1.

I'm gonna take a cruise in Zambesi road late at night this weekend and see if i can get that 19km/l again :) couldn't believe my eyes. Didn't even think of taking a picture [facepalm]

For the whole trip i'm quite impressed and happy.

Consumption isn't that bad.
Ours sees about 12/13 L/100km which is similar to most of my previous 6cyl BMWs (besides the diesel)

I'm averaging 10.4km/l now everyday, to and from work. Hate putting the kilometers on her but just have to see it through until we get another fixed and I'm back to driving to work with a little Chevy Aveo...
But the automattic with cruise control is SO amazing to drive.

I reset the avg on 232km.

Seems the best fuel consumption is round about 85-90km/h.

I saw the same kind of consumption with my Golf so I can't be happier that i get it in a V8 :D
