Bosch alternator for N42 N46 engine

:argh: guys I need some help here in Durbs , need too find a 140Amp Bosch alternator for a 2002 BMW E46 318i f/l, I've tried every salvage yard they either have less Amps or the Valeo one that I have that's failed and so damn hard to get service parts. I need a bosch alternator at a cheap price , I'm jobless atm and have just spent money on a new battery and second hand vanos. When it rains it pours.

I had a n42 alternator "refurbed" for just over a grand! including new voltage regulator :thumbs:

Not sure it was a valeo or bosh, new ones cost a arm and a leg :nonono: and I can relate finding second hand ones/parts is a mission.

Try some older auto elecs in your area?

Brand new was like R 4.5k:yuck: just for the part excluding mark-ups and labour to fit

Question, why do you want a 140amp alternator when stock is like 90amps or so... Are you powering a mother sound system or something?

:fencelook: the one I took off car is a valeo 140Amp SG14b017.
