Greetings fellow Fanatics
 
Tis the season to be merry, #KeDezembaBoss and "what are you doing for the holidays" will be the topic of discussion in every circle throughout this month.
It is also the season of giving... why not try to assist those who are less fortunate to join in the same spirit, however big or small.
 
BMWFanatics has chosen to team up with BMW Midrand (previously ABM) to assist with their Christmas Tree Challenge campaign and we would hope fellow Fanatics will oblige!
They've chosen a Santa Shoebox theme for donation of supplies.
 
Deets as follows: (please read carefully)
 
Thank you for helping us bring joy into the life of those who have very little. 
We have divided the shoeboxes into three sections: baby, kids/teens and the elderly. Make up one or more Santa's shoeboxes as listed below, then please wrap it and label it either toddler, kids or elderly and, if you wish, your name. (The list is purely for your guidance, you can change or add to it if you wish.)
 
Toddlers:
Wet wipes
Gripe water
Teething toys
Small blanket
Baby shampoo
Baby Oil
Dummy
Bum cream
Baby Powder
 
Elderly:
Non-perishables
Toiletries
Cleaning products
 
Kids/Teens:
Toys
Sweets / Crisps
Colouring book
Crayons / Pencils
Hat /Cap
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Reading books
Educational supplies
Bar of soap
Wash cloth

Label it either Toddler, Child or Elderly, and your name if you wish. 
Please deliver your box/boxes to the dealership and put it under the tree before close of business on **Friday, 11 December 2020**

So it was added to the post.

We can however still start a list of those Fanatics who have registered and will be attending the convoy.

Morning erryone, basically Jhb events team has tested up with BmW MIDRAND to do a charity drive for those in need.

For those unable to attend, there still is a way of contributing to those less fortunate.


BMW MIDRAND is willing to take EFT donations and they will go out and get the stuff required. To make this simple, I've spoken to Riyo and he is willing to do accept the donation from Members and he will do one eft to Bmw Midrand directly.

Just an an estimate, Luke went out and got some stuff today for kids, approximately R250 a box.

I request others who are unable to go to ABM or make the charity drive to contribute, It has undoubtedly been a rough year for everyone, I can only imagine how difficult it has been for the people who cant care for themselves. R250.00 dose not get you much these days, however bringing joy to those less fortunate is absolutely priceless.

We managed to raise a whopping R15k in the short space of time that this ran and I can't say how proud I am to be affiliated with BMWFanatics!  raise:

I will be joining BMW Midrand tomorrow for the delivery convoy, those who wish to participate are free to join as well! (Details of the convoy are in the main post).

Afternoon Fanatics

Just thought I'd share some of the pics from the delivery convoy on Saturday (if anyone else has pics from the day, please share as well!) 

The reactions we received from the kids I feel was reward enough! They went crazy over the BMWs too ofcourse!  :smilebounce: 
Thank you all so much for your donations, the home is eternally grateful!  :bravo: 

I would also like to give special thanks to Omar, Benji, Jody, Deon & one other fanatic with the M2 (apologies, never got your name bud) for joining the convoy, it was really awesome to see you guys. And I think ABM really reeeeaaaaaaally needed our help on the day, and you guys came through!!!  :ty:
