The very first BMWFanatics Camp Chairs and Cool Drinks Meet and Greet event had taken place on the afternoon of 13 June 2015. As some of the members have posted earlier, this had been a huge success. We were very glad to see some new faces and we can only take it as testament of our ever-growing membership.

The evening played out as usual, everyone getting acquainted with one-another and jokes, car-talk and recalling other Fanatics events were on the some of the hot topics of the conversations. We had good participation from our new member Keru who offered to be the official photographer for the evening.

We also welcomed I_M_Preshaan and friends who were so appropriately christened the “Fanatics Youth League” by 4Rose. Preshaan is the proud owner of an E30 318i with a little party-trick which caught the eyes of those who attended the meet. Here are some shots I was able to get of this classic…

Something which has not been common in the KZN meets as of recent is presence of Z-cars…so I elated when I discovered this beauty was part of our attendance.

Living alongside the coast, one may think that these grand automobiles would be more common! Sadly I did not get the opportunity to meet the driver, I do believe his name is Jerry. Thank you for attending Jerry!

No KZN meet is complete without some form of modifications being done, this one was no different. A very lazy owner of a 1M Coupe thought it would be a great idea to fasten his number plates on with cable ties and not remove the excess stems. Thankfully we are a resourceful bunch and helped him out by removing it for him.

And speaking 1M’s, the dream of one fanatic came true when the owner of the mean-looking VOM 1M allowed Jamaine the opportunity to pop in the shops to pick up something to drink. Needless to say when Jamaine returned, he was so excited and the smile did not leave his face for the entire evening.

All in all it was a great evening out and this one many events to come from the KZN part of the BMWFanatics. Peejay, gave the mandatory vote of thanks before the evening was concluded.

A huge thank you goes out to the KZN BMWFanatics team and The Fanatics team for arranging another successful event.

Gentlemen, can you belive we now have a following of over 140? Seems like we are making ripples down here on the east coast!
