Hi
I have a bmw m40i g01 2019 model.
I am deciding to purchase a plug and play for my vehicle.
Will the dealer be able to pick this up or will it be traceable

All mods are traceable with BMW right now, since their latest DME update since early to mid 2019...they will pick up any external, non-BMW interference in the car.

If your car is on plan and you like to keep the plan, leave it stock for now or buy BMW mods...and wait till plan is ovet to then tinker and play with aftermarket mods.

Lol
I feel after 200km/h is truggles a bit

I just cannot get the launch right on the vehicle.
I know the gti holds the rev around 3000rpm and the vehicle does feel like its going to move.
With the m40i It feels like the brakes are holding the vehicle back, the back of the vehicle actually dips. Is this normal? Or maybe im launching it incorrectly

Re. the launch - the car will have launch control and you would have your brake floored as well as the acccelerator when activating it. but if you brake boosting, this will make the car dip at the back when you reach the boost point.

Are you using launch control?

Try Bootmod3, very easy to use and install and customize.
I had it on my F80 m3, dealers did not pick it up (cannot speak for newer model cars)
You unlock the DME, flash the car, when you want to flash back to stock (which is very easy as it stores your stock file) you just flash it and it locks the DME again.

Yes but the DME lock and unlock ad flash counter is updated also, this is what is stored in memory and is picked up by the latest DME update by BMW

The dealer will detect it once the car is updated to the new version of firmware. You can only evade the firmware update for a while, eventually they will call you requesting to bring the car in for the update which gives them the ability to detect if the car was even tuned or equipped with a piggy back
