Hi Fantatics
I need some advice here. When I play a cut MP3 CD, my BMW 2011 professional head unit does not play the full song on some of the tracks and it only starts playing a song a third of the way into the song. When I eject the same CD and play the CD in another manufacturers head unit, it plays all the songs with no parts of the tracks missing.
Has anyone else had the same problem ?

Its the first i heard of this.

Does it do this with all CD's

Yes. any brand of CD, it does....

Have you tried using a CD lens cleaner?

the head unit will play normal CD's no problem. Only the cut MP3 ones it battles with.

Maybe Google for the radio reset procedure.

Check the bitrate at which the mp3 is burned. I think the BMW Professional radio cannot handle high bitrates. I burn all my mp3's at 192 Kbps and don't have any issues with play back.
