Bmw m135 rattle on cold start

Hi Guys,

I have just joined this forum hoping someone could give me advice, so saturday i bought a 2014 m135 with 9000km on the clock and this morning to my dissapointment that car made like a rattle sound on cold start it seemed to be gone when the car was warm ? but definitely comes from the engines side.... i have done some research and most people say its the wastegate thats rattling.... has this happened to anyone ?

I thought wastegate rattle had been sorted on the new cars. Take it to the dealers and get them to sort it. Only 9000km on the clock that sure ain't right.

Yep. Wastegate rattle. I've just had mine in at the dealers for the same thing. Awaiting the outcome of them confirming that it is indeed the wastegate (or rather in this case the actuator arm)

My 335i did the same, they loaded new software to control the wastegate. Take it in and let them sort it. :coolShake:
