BMW Freaks out on us

Driving my wife's 320d on R21 to krugersdorp highway, via n1, speed control on 125km/h cruising nicely, next thing out of nowwhere, speed control turns off, tire pressure light shows up on computer, then traction contol light comes on next then break light comes on next...WTF...so we stop and get the book out...cant really make sense of this and why its happened. Then we continue to drive, computer goes blank (back to normal) and then traction control light and break light stay on in the instrument panel...

so we have taken it in this morning to be fixed, thank goodness for motorplan...the car is running fine, the DTC wont work when pressing button and the speed control wont work, but otherwise its fine...very strange...

does anybody have any idea what has freaked out??? fuse???

ya no shit!! hehe then everytime you turn it on, it goes in order - tyre pressure monitor, then DTC then break light - all in orange....hehehe freaked out big time...

Neil, Happened to my moms car the other day. Turned out to be crank shaft sensor then valvetronic motor. Also check the flux capacetor as they tend to draw power.

car came back from bmw and you guys who guessed it was a wheel sensor were correct.

bmw alpina in boksburg said it happens, it becomes missaligned and then you have what we have - now its sorted - apparantly it should never do it again.
