Last I checked lexus, honda and infiniti all make vehicles that fulfill your criteria. But lets not let facts get in the way of a good jap bashing session

And look at where Lexus is on the list. I'm sorry, BMW has a price and that's the price it comes with. We chose a BMW for a number of reasons and we paid the price. We obviously prefer BMW's to Hondas and Infinitis. I know I do...

I frikken loved my scoob.

Paid 250k for it (that was like 10 years ago) which was a lot of money at the time.

Spent 100k on it for repairs (engine/gearbox). 50k of that was for a sound upgrade.

Sold it for 85k 2 years later, did not crash it...

So I shall never own a scoob again.

My german is rusty but that second list of manufactures might be because of their limited sales in the german market.

When Kia is ranked higher than BMW ....
No point having german engineering when you have build quality issues on brand new cars and recurring known issurs across multiple generations of vehicles... stuff that the japanese and korean manufactures seem to sort out chop chop

The second list is results of brands that weren't included in overall standings, not limited sales

Everyone has their own tastes, I suppose.

Taken from the chart and translated by Google:

Ergebnisse der Marken die nicht in der Gesamtwertung berücksichtigt wurden (weniger als 150 Umfrageteilnehmer / nicht mehr als Neuwagen in Deutschland erhältlich)

results in:

Results of the brands that were not considered in the overall standings (less than 150 respondents / no longer sold as new cars in Germany)

Nissan is in bed with renault. The 1.6 turbo motor of the Juke will be in the new Clio Sport. Draw your own conclusions.
Mazda have always been under rated...

As I understand it Scoobies have a really crappy trade in value.
Its one of those cars you buy at a massive price and just never sell because you wont get back even just what you spent on it.

I think you will find that rice drivers expect less than a BMW driver.
Expect less get less = satisfied customer

Have to agree with your there
