BMW E90 radio LCD

When it is very cold, the radio displays fine, as soon after a while, everything fades on the radio display. Does anyone know a good place that can fix/display the LCD lamp in the Western Cape area?

Hey man, mine was doing the same and a friend of mine advised me to take off the battery terminal for a few minuets and re-connect. Fixed my radio...Might be worth a try before you start spending your money...

I have disconnected the radio a few times for other reasons, it still is the same. I'm sure it is something to do with the radio. I can only see part of the characters on the screen. They aren't perfect when it is realy cold in the morning, but can see most things on the screen, but quickly disapear after 1 min when the LCD obviously warms up.
