Just a quick one what battery does a BMW E82 135i use, where can i buy a battery at a good price in Gauteng?

Whenever i play the radio with the engine not running, after a while it shows that the battery charge is low and the radio then switches off..

Any advice will be appreciated...

I replaced my battery in December. I found the original BMW batter only marginally more expensive that equivalent Raylite or Exide. (I wouldn't consider using any other brand).

Since my last battery lasted 5 years, I thought a couple of hundred rand over that amount of time is OK, and in my experience, the BMW branded battery seems to last longer (but I could be mistaken).

Best thing would be to phone around and ask for quotes.

I made the woeful mistake to go to Supa Quick for a replacement battery for my e90 about 4 months ago. :smashScreen:

The car was fine for 3 months, after which it was an expensive nightmare to figure out why the car was having electrical issues. Cost me an odd R3000 to repair electrical issues due to the battery and to purchase yet a new OEM battery and R4000 in total car rental. :blueCry:

Best advice: Go to a BMW dealer, buy the battery from them (which is almost exactly the same price as Supa Quick's) and get the battery REGISTERED on the car. It will be the best R2000 you will spend.

Agreed, get the BMW battery and be done with it. I wrote a long diatribe as to the reasons why elsewhere.
