BMW E46 Controller unit for Aftermarket Radio

Hi Guys,

I am looking to change the standard head unit on my car and am looking for the controller unit which will still allow me to use the steering controls to operate the aftermarket radio. I have been quoted some ridiculous prices and am hoping someone on this forum would have one around that they would like to get rid off.

What aftermarket radio are you using?

Alot of aftermarket radios have those controllers for the steering wheel. Buy one that has it.

You could just get an OEM front loader as it looks much nicer in the car, however if you want to go after market, I would suggest maybe an Alpine head unit...you will however need a trim plate to go with it as its smaller in length tha the OEM unit.

The controllers available work with JVC, Kenwood, Alpine and you should pay less than R1000 for it.
