Bmw E46 330i Weird Problem

Hi Fanatics

So is the 2nd time my car kind of just don't start. Everything switch on my battery is strong my car have enough fuel no errors and when i switch to start there's nothing.

The first time it took around 10min before she start , the 2nd time almost a hour and no luck so i leave her rather for the night.

So leave my car at my friends house for the night and then next morning tried with my other key. And she start up right away with the first turn.? I Drive home and tried the other key at home and she start again without issues.

Anyone experience this type of problem like mine.?

I would think that the chip in your remote/key is failing .

Had a very similar issue with an E46 - It happened to be the key. I can unlock the car with the key but I cant start it with that same key. The ignition just comes on but no crank or start.

Check on Gumtree, there's a guy in Highlands North, JHB. I had the same problem, there were a few loose parts on the transponder board which he repaired for me, R450 and it was sorted.

A friend also with a 2001 but 325i had the same happen to him, spare key solved it.

Ok got a friend with a extra key. lucky my other key is still working. Just need to code that key to my car then. :tiptoe:
