I’m thinking bout buying a e36 m3 but I would like to know what the car is like on maintenance eg.
Service costs( Minor and Major)
Clutch overhaul
Radiator
Water pump
any other costs that i should be aware of as the car will be in use daily

Also please could ur’ll let me know what to look out for when viewing e36 m3’s.
Any comments, views or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

The first thing I do when I look at any car is check the panel gaps. A car that's never been in a accident or has been looked after really well won't have odd panel gaps or panels not lining up. If I find this, I move on with looking at it further. And I think this goes without saying, the less mods it has the better. Best would be to find one that's 100% original.

All the BMW specific stuff you'll find in the thread Coisman posted.

Ask for any documentation the seller might have about the car's service. From that you should be able to get a good idea how well the car was looked after or not.

When you look at any car, don't focus on the seller. If you focus to much on the seller you'll miss things on the car. :thumb:

Dont look for a bargain. Well maintained cars usually fetch a bit more, but will save you in the long run with maintenance & running costs.

M3 parts are expensive! and you dont want a moneypit. Most important of all dont make an impulsive decision. or take the first one you see.
