Well I am based in Kempton Park JHB and this is my first e36 and need to know where to go and get a diagnostic done, no error codes that come up on the dash , I was told today that an alternative is to install a aftermarket fuel management system , can u advise if I must do this or just get the diagnostics done.

Err no.
Find yourself a decent mechanic first. Since you are in JHB I would recommend Gizmo here on the forum.
It could be the AFM but more likely a PCV leak, but until someone competent diagnoses the car you're just shooting in the wind.

Check that the crank sensor, located close to the crank is not fouled up with oil or anything else...give it a good wipe off, make sure its clean and that the distance is reasonable.(plus/minus 5mm).

I had the same problem on my 318i e30....it was the airflow meter, in your case you got the MAF....if you replaced that, then sometihng else is causing this issue.

Speak to Gizmo if its not easily remedied.
