hi i want to change(service) my auto gear box oil,what brand is the best and how many liters must i buy

Hi Lenyan,

Not to sure of what oil is required or the quantity used...but a google search should assist with that. There are a few websites on the net that assist some on the e34's.

BTW - if you ever need a spare box, I have recently pulled one out of an e34 520i....

Castrol and Liqumoly have great transmission oil, not so sure about E34 but the E36 some used ATF, check your transmission if it has the transmission oil type sticker.

Hi, send me the vin and I will try check for you, if I remember it was ATF but let me check by vin. Is it a ZF box? Should be.
