BMW E23

So I am going to look at one tomorrow hopefully and the nice part is that it only has one owner since new.

It is a 728i which is silver in colour. I am so excited :joy:

Keep searching. Not too many of those around anymore in any reasonable condition. Would be great to have someone on the forum owning one of those. I remember my mom's one well, was a fantastic car, but the doors rusted away eventually.

I know the feeling. You look at a advert and it looks so good. Then if you go look at it then it doesn't even look like the same car. And then the owner starts listing all the problems that he didn't bother to specify on the ad.

I knew that it was standing for a while and needed work. But the amount of work just doesn't make it feasable. Might be ok as a donor car for another restore.

-The body required a full spray with some panelbeating that needed to take place.
- Bumpers were damaged beyong repair.
- Windscreen required
- Tail lights cracked
- Motor smokes, which I didn't know of before the time.
- Etc, etc.

If it was a 745i, then I may have considered it, but certainly not for a 728i

Oh, and the car was sooo full of junk, I couldn't view the interior at all, other then the cluster and steering which is also completely vrot.

At least the tyres had some thread :roflol:
