This was so awesome, my dad has told me that he does this with the metro as well. Since I am always in the wrong I never ask for documentation for the fear of getting a worse fine.
As far as i am aware, the threshold for fines are fixed.

I was once pulled over and the officer showed me his clipboard with the various categries of transgressions and associated fine values.

You know he is out of his depth when he calls for Pieter to come and put out the fire and hiding behind the beemer’s rear. I guess this one is camera shy....
Don’t know why some of these officers can’t get the basics right and do their jobs properly already... :smashScreen:

:roflol::roflol::roflol: With due respect to the majority of great officers in SA, this is hilarious!

Thankfully, he wasn't faced with an arrogant, egotistical officer! But, even so, with cameras in their faces, no officer is going to get away these days!

Social media has become THE FEAR!

Sure, they may issue the fine but they can say goodbye to their sleep, self-respect, social respect, reputation, professional respect and become infamous overnight!

I'm sure many old, arrogant, sadistic officers are toning down after officer Laurentia's incident!

And, it's about time - if the law is meant to keep us safe instead of milk us dry then this is the way to go!

Well done!:clapper:

Well done to the gent, firm and respectfully handling the situation.

thats the way it should be done, not in the way Clive Naidoo tried it.

Agreed with the above..

Clive was completely disrespectful knowing fully he was in the wrong. Never approach them with arrogance, it will get you nowhere.

The way this attorney handled the situation was superb.:clapper:

Well done :clapper:
Unfortunately, I don't see this working well for some of us.
ie. if a 20 something guy tries this with the wrong officer things could go south very quickly.
Especially with the aggressive ghost squad.
I'm guessing a smashed phone and violence may be quite possible :thumbdo:

I asked an officer for the calibration certificate and the officers training certificate... They had both on hand. The guy wasn't angry with me asking.
