BMW Cedar Aisle

I took my car in to get checked while still under motor plan. Was sitting at 98 000km. I told them that there is a shudder when braking at about 80km/h and they took it in and checked, they told me that everything was fine, just that the rims needed to be fixed cos they were buckled.

I then fixed it, out of motor plan, car is now over 100 000km and still a shudder. I told BMW Cedar Aisle about this and they tell me that they are not going to fix it even though I told them that it was probably the brakes when it was under motor plan. They kept telling me brakes are 100%...

Now they want R4800 for front pads and discs.... I am rather going to go to Supaquick, they quoted me R2900.

They are a bunch of useless idiots!!!! I will never take my car to this place again!!

:argh:

What a bunch of chops! They probably did that on purpose so they dont have to fix under MP... they wanted the extra cash! :bangdesk:

:sorry: bud!

Oh no!!!

I also took my car in there and told them that my brakes are making funny sounds but they told me that my front rims were bucked. They quoted me R17k for fixing them and fitting new tyres. I asked if MP will cover that and they said nope, so I told them not to touch it then.

I think we have a new scammer on the block....Cedar Isle :nonono::nonono:

Yeah, just wanted to share my experience so that others can stay away! They definitely wanted the motor plan to end so that they can get the extra cash... oWell, won't go back to the dealers now that my car is out of motorplan

I took my car to Mag Surgeon in Honeydew, they fixed all 4 of my rims for R2.2k :) Speak to Herman, he will sort you out! Great guy as well.

haha dang I just live down the block from them...

But why won't they cover it under MP? Don't they get reimbursement from BMW or insurance anyways?

I cant understand why they didnt just change it in the first place, as they submit a claim to MP on your behalf and they get paid anyways....

seems like they "mis diagnosed" the fault and its probably too much of an issue to explain to MP why they need to do something out of MP...
I recon you fight them!!!

Precisely. Dealership was just idiotic. That get back everything and score on labour.

+1!

Best thing to do. Stick to the facts and keep the conversation as calm as possible!! Hope they sort this out for you, especially since you did ask them to fix this so recently and under motorplan!
