Hi guys
As some of you might or might not know, Grant (Carbon130) has been promoted to Club Chairman of the Western Cape chapter of the BMW Car Club of South Africa.
The guys in JHB have seen this area as being full of potential to grow the club, and I have to agree with them. The turn outs we've had at the last few events has been brilliant, and I think this is a sign that we can pull together a well organised, and well run Club.
We would do events that would include things like show and shine days (until we get a big enough membership to do full concours days), where you would be able to bring the family, activities for the kids etc, the breakfast runs, potentially track days (we will have to discuss this in length) and various other activities. Having been a member of the BMWCCG before, I can attest to the well run and coordinated days that they put together, and living in such a beautiful part of the world (let alone South Africa) I reckon we have the potential to do some wonderful stuff as a club (besides for us "out of towners" it's a great way to meet people :joy
So in a nutshell, what I am trying to get at is that let's get up and support our local club and make a success of it. The more successful it becomes the better the events and activities will be!
