Also.. I'm still keen to be on the planning committee for the Bimmerfest if you want.. dont forget that I was a professional event, rave, rock concert, function planner for 6 years!!

matt, members will get discounted rates for events that are charged for etc, there will obviously be more benefits to come, but the first year will not be massively subsidised for members as we need to build numbers and club revenue first.

To be elected onto or serve as a facilitator on the comittee, you need to be a member first :)

Also, in addition to Freeriders comment; the committee did identify Matt to serve on the Bimmerfest committee @ our last meeting...so Matt we were all thinking the same...the world cup is throwing out our routines but such a Bimmerfest meeting will happen soon after the final whistle has blown in the World Cup...:thumbsup:

They gonna discuss the breakfast run tomorrow night.

I just received an email, about 30mins ago, from Killarney. They got a Street Car Track day on Sunday at 2pm. Maybe we end the Run at Killarney

Hi everyone

The BMW club committee decided to move three of our upcoming events backwards: especially the breakfast run and the Women's Day Amazing race; for the following reasons:
The World Cup has literally thrown out our planning rythm. :drool:
Our events require good preparation.
We are also mindful of the start of the annual Fast for our Muslim club members the first week in August.

So the breakfast run will be on 8 August and Carbon130 will run a seperate thread keeping us updated on the coordination and planning for the run.

The Women's event will be held later in the year and TBC and Fuzzy will run a seperate thread on this to keep us all updated on the planning and requirements.

The defensive driving course (27 August) is still on track but we are waiting for confirmation from Killarney for the use of the track/skidpan.

Thx for your interest and especially for your emails to join the Club. Club membership forms will also be available from dealerships real soon.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

@Shadowmonkey we normally advertise our events on this forum and facebook. Please drop your email via PM so i can make sure it was captured on the circulation list.

@hellas...we asked members last year on this forum to indicate their 4x4 interest since we had a route in Stellenbosch in mind, but we had almost zero response. Will ask jandre to send out a new invite.
