BMW 535d Downpipe options

Hi everybody

I'd like to get some advice on my car's exhaust options after motorplan.

I had a look under the car and the stock exhaust seems really decent and of good quality, so I'd like to keep it as is, because I dont need extra power.

Can the DPF be removed and a aftermarket downpipe be installed without loading software to cancel out sensor issues?

I read somewhere on here, dummy sensors can be inserted on the new downpipe?

Advice will be appreciated :ty:

If you have a DPF then software is required, if it's just a CAT then you won't require software as the sensor will be on the Turbo....

Common misconception is that all diesels have a DPF....they don't, some have a CAT that can be easily cut and replaced with a DP....

TMSS or X-Flow are the exhaust shops to visit if you are in Jhb.... You might as well get the software done for the extra power....

Thanks Singh

I am almost sure my 535d will have a DPF and 425 sensors.

Does a place like TMSS or X-flow also do the software or does a person go to Motronix first for software and then get a downpipe fitted at the exhaust shop?

X-Flow will hook you up with Xcede software while they are fabricating your DP

Probably 427 sensors if we're honest
