Bmw 335i dct paddle shift problem help?

have a bmw 335i n54 dct gearbox, my paddle shifters were working but just stopped engaging, the gears still change with the gear stick and go into sport, but one I press the paddles nothing happens, could anyone provide me with some help of have any idea what the problem could be?

Hi there.

I read somewhere recently that there is a possibility that you may have a pinched or broken wire somewhere.
Take off the Airbag cover of the steering wheel and check the connections, or, lift up the Gear Lever cover, and check for a broken wire, as the connection has to go back to the Gear lever mechanism.

All the other buttons on steering are working, could be a wire like you said, could that be the only reason?

yes, as there is a procedure to adjust the wiring also, swaping wires around and it makes the paddles on the Push/Pull type to be the same as regular paddles (left is down shift and right is upshift)

id garner a look in the gearlever section. but those 2 points would be where to look tbh.
