BMW 318i

Hi

I have recently bought a 318i 2001 model.
The two oxygen sensors in the exhaust are faulty...if i change the whole exhaust or just put a normal straight pipe...will this solve the problem instead of replacing the sensors.
Could these sensors cause serious loss of power also especially when picking up speed from a gear and when taking off?

any advise would be much appreciated

How do you know the sensors are faulty.

I assume you have the M43 engine? I think they only have one sensor under the middle of the car near the gearbox. Where is other one ?

Lastly no it will not fix your problem, you might want to tell me exactly what systems you are having as i have been down this road before.
