What's up guys.....

So I've finally decided to do a software upgrade on my n55 135i. JB4 sounded like the logical choice.

What kind of power gains can I expect over stock figures (225kw, 400nm)?

And JB4 with full mods ie. FMIC, CP, INTAKE, EXHAUST, METH?

Any help or suggestions is much appreciated

Thanks

Hi, I would probaly suggest them in this order JB, downpipe, chargepipe, intake then meth. If you looking at running around 12.5 Jb & downpipe with some octane will do it, around 12.3 with addition of intake. Cooler not worth it rather fit a low temp oil thermostat. Jb & downpipe on Map2 also runs very well on N55. With all hardware fitted you looking at approx 295 wheel kw & around 650 - 700Nm.

What model is your N55?

Great choice on the Jb4  I'm guessing around 260-270 wkw (assuming your stock figure is around 190-200 wkw

Hi Dean,

It's a 2012 E82. 295wkw and 600 to 700nm is crazy.
That's possible with the standard twin scroll?

Still have to familiarize myself with the whole JB4 setup.
Who are some of the best tuners in JHB to get the software and mods done to see such massive power gains?

Thanks again

I had a big issue with tuning in the past. Stay away from flash tunes. Have not tried the JB4 so cannot comment.
Pick your tuner very carefully and do not pay anyone before the job is done and you are 100% satisfied.

I'm with willem on that one! Be careful of since tuners around! JB4 is a great choice IMO, been tried and tested with great results proven over and over

There are a number of people that can do the JB4 install in JHB, and there are sponsors on the forum.
Feel free.

The twin-scroll will handle up to 295wkw with FBO yes. My car wasnt running properly at all and I saw 230wkw and 624nms.
Also please remember, when checking mods. Dyno as a baseline, then dyno after each mod to see the gain and dyno's vary so power output may not be as we quoted.

In Jhb you would probably make 295 less 8 to 9%. I know Chris also ran his car yesterday on the Dyno Day he is also N55 Dct FBO. Probably he will post up his figures later.

Up in JHB don't expect to make as much as the Durban boys.

230+wkw can be expected with just the JB4 and some decent fuel.

Expect around 275+wkw with FBO and Meth running on E50 on the N55 up here.

I have been down the N55 tuning route.
