bluetooth in my F20

Does the F20 radio with i drive have Bluetooth streaming as standard or is it an optional extra.

My phone connects but doesn't play music

AFAIK it is optional ,but bluetooth connection for calls is standard. I bought a cheap as chips bluetooth rechargeable receiver that just plugs into your aux to stream music with. The device is tiny so it can be hidden away and the music quality is exceptional ,especially for the price.

This is what the little device looks like. I bought it from Oriental City in Ceturion and it cost a whopping R170:rollsmile: It really works like a bomb and the sound quality is decent. Most chinese or similar type shops should have these or something similar,a bunch of my friends have similar "chinese" devices and with all of us it is "so far ,so good".raise:

I am using a similar device in my e90 to stream music, only problem is to keep recharging the device.

Reviving an old thread

We just got the F20 yesterday and I can confirm it has bluetooth streaming and it works perfectly fine.

What I did was go on to options and switch on the options for it to play media because it had by default the call option on only.

AFAIK you need to have the combox controller to stream music - it is an extra

Can import it for R1000, just need someone to code and wire it.

The upgraded 8.8 inch unit has the Bluetooth streaming built-in.
