Blower....not blowing

Howdy Fanatics

My Fan/Blower is only running at low speed, have removed it and Q20 the shaft, but its not spinning any faster.
Could it be the switch or is it the blower?
Anyone got an idea what a new one would cost?

Uhm, radiator fan or ventilation fan? If it is the latter, you may need to replace the fan controller resistor pack thing. About five hundred bucks, I think.

:biglol: but yes probably the FSU as mentioned. Quite expensive from BMW. I think I paid R1.6k for it. But it's an easy fix

Damit, that's expensive. But being a NOVICE, where is that switch/unit located?:withStu::withStu:
It's fun to drive a Beemer but not so much when stuff goes pear shape...

I have replaced the hedgehog (as it is called by some) in my E39 with an aftermarket part from Goldwagen. No problems.

I also needed to buy a T10 Torx screwdriver to do the job.
