"Black Out" Event

So, the Audi guys here in Cape Town have a once a month "Black Out" event, where they go to a venue and literally take over. It seems that in recent months their numbers have dwindled a bit (I am still a member on that forum :rollsmile so was wondering what the Fanatics appetite would be for something similar?

It works along the lines of going to a particular venue,say a BMW dealership,or a restaurant, and packing the place out. I know there used to be the Time Cafe meets every now and then, but I am looking at it being more automotivally orientated. In other words,taking over a dealership :rollsmile:. We could conclude the event by taking a leisurely drive as an Ice Cream run.

This is just kinda in the thought stage so far, so I would appreciate input from the regulars. There is a poll for this.

Great idea? But why not arrange a Cars and Coffee like we GP guys do? Once a month but if thats too much maybe every second month?

Cars and Coffee was actually an idea sparked from the VW club guys Black Out thats held on a Thursday evening once a month.

Even that Arbee! Ultimately, whether it be a black out or a cars and coffee,the aim is to foster the unity of a group of like minded car enthusiasts. The problems generally with breakfast runs and the such is that guys have family plans over weekends,whereas informal get togethers with no runs is something most guys are more probable to attend,if they during the week for arguments sake.
Hence it being an open discussion for all to comment and throw their ideas around,and yours is a very good one :thumbs:

Thats the point of CnC...

At the end of the day, not everyone is going to make it. Thankfully, CnC has hit the fanatics and its great, we have had an increase in attendees from 15 cars to 40 cars at the last one.

Give it a try. My aim with CnC was that each province has it on the same day.

Get photographs, we love pics. The more pics the better as those that did not attend will make it a duty to attend the next one.

Another thing, have these socials mid month, when people are done with shopping etc and money is low. Gives people something to do, when there are no means of doing anything. If you know what i mean...

Well, lets see how the responses go! I reckon it could be cool to stand around and chat/drink coffee/milkshakes etc.

There is no rule that says wc guys can not rename their cars and coffe meets to blackout event to create a bit more personal feel to the refional okes individuality is all around us and is not always a bad thing.

Dippies, i think your comment was uncalled for, i am not FORCING anyone to have cars and coffee over what they want to. It was a suggestion and posted my thought process behind the CnC. If other provinces want to have Blackout instead of Cars and Coffee, so be it. As long as the fanatics get together. No need to say "There is no rule that says wc guys can not rename their cars and coffee meets to blackout"

Bugger, my intention is not to force Cars and Coffee, whatever it may be called i will be happy that the Fanatics are getting together. That is the biggest reason for CnC... Or, BO or whatever it is named!
