not a edge of your seat thriller, basically walking dead synopsis but instead of zobmies they have something else.

and i stead of looking where they going, they cant....

so yeah, also they never tested if sunglasses would work...

Watched it on Netflix.
They should've showed us at least in the end what they were looking at. .

Felt the same way too. But based on what that crazy guy drew I kind of got an idea of what they saw.

Overall not a bad movie, but in my opinion not as great as the hype around it.

Also watched it on Netflix and I felt like i wasted 2 hours of my life which i can never get back, should of rather spent that 2 hours trying to fix my tail light issue :hammerhead:

Agree'd they should have at least showed us what they were seeing. :skit:

Watched this last night. WARNING: POTENTIAL SPOILERS

Had the same feelings I had at the end of Signs in terms of closure surrounding the big bad... what it was, how people continue with their lives in this new reality etc. IMHO this would work nicely as a prequel to something that delves deeper into what these things are... or even as the pilot to something bigger. Are they demons? Aliens? Extradimensional beings? from the Warp? I know it is intentionally unclear, but in the context of the next point, I think they should have gone further than they did

They didn't handle the suspense very well and my wife got fed up with my comments turning out to be right 5 minutes later. Plot-wise it was very predictable if you're a fan of the genre.

Acting was very good and I think they did what they could with the script.

My view: the marketing behind this was ridiculous leading to many people watching it and ending up like many of us posting now. Apart from the promotion on Netflix itself, I was bombarded online and even on sites with people (no doubt paid by Netflix or bots) punting it as the next cult classic must-see, memes on facebook about how people were gonna name their kids Boy and Girl (spoiler alert: when you have a boy and girl they are called this anyway :roflol: ).

The Rotten Tomatoes score of 62 is probably accurate. It really was more like 50% for me. Netflix has some really good stuff that I've enjoyed series wise (eg: Stranger Things and to a lesser degree Haunting of Hill House), but the movies have been a bit hit and miss.

I want to know if the birds had brain damage in the end, MY WORD those poor things got Frozen, dropped, drowned and shaken up.

SandraBullock is still a peach!

The BirdBoxChallenge seems to be causing chaos with people getting hurt trying to emulate scenes from the movie..

I can't get past the trailer even.. On another note, went to go watch Aquaman, another 3 hours of my life I won't get back..

This is why I don't watch movies.. Lots of hours gone.. Let's wait for GrandTour Season 3 :smilebounce:

Derail/Rant over.. My bad.. :fencelook:

It had the plot to be a great film.

Bullock only reason I watched it to the end.

Was a not bad movie, and I guess why they didn't try sunglasses is they tried looking thru the cameras....

I had this on my Netflix list to watch but, after seeing the comments above, I decided to watch "Murder Party" instead. Low budget, but smart horror comedy with some good gore.

Will give BirdBox a watch this weekend.
