Bicycle Rack for 2007 Mini Convertible

Hello,

I have been trying to find a bicycle carrier for my Mini, but have not had any luck. One option is to install a tow hitch and then I would have plenty of options. They make a hitch kit for the mini convertible in the US. Does anyone know of something like this is South Africa or a place that could install a hitch? Live in Cape Town

MINI does not offer a tow hitch in South Africa for the convertible unfortunately, neither the old R53 type nor the newer R57 models.

Both cars could be specified with the "Rear Rack Preparation" which then allowed you to purchase a MINI Bike Rack.

This unfortunately cannot be retro-fitted.

As far as your options go you are screwed, I know of no other solution for a MINI Convertible as not even the aftermarket fitters have kits.

Thanks that is what I suspected. I will just have to continue to remove both wheels and put the seats down and stick in the back
