Just wanted to share my experience of a vehicle I went to view from gumtree,anyways heres the story for the past few days ive been looking for a light automatic car for my wife,so after a few hours of searching on gumtree i stumble across a clean honda automatic 1998 model,I go and view and drive the car and it was in excellent condition gears shifting perfectly clean inside and out and a strong engine not wanting to seem like a time waster or joyrider.I told them il take the car so I return with my father the next day make final arrangment so my father has a look at it firstly there was no heater in the car:flyfun: and worst of all the engine number on the licence disc was different from the on the logbook the guy who was selling the car wasnt even the owner!we told him dont call us well call you guys be carefull when viewing cars check engine numbers vin numbers I almost learnt the hard way.

Thing is I checked it on e natis and everything seemed ok,no admins marks no suspension licenced and roadworthy,but when my father inspected the car the engine number on the engine which is the same as on natis isnt the same as the on the logbook.
