Best unleaded fuel?

I dont think you'll get a concrete answer here...All fuels are the same with different additives added by different companies.
Personally i prefer Shell or Sasol...no scientific proven reason behind it.

For me, Shell (for V-Power) then Caltex (for Techron).
I find that BP gives me the least mileage (ie: the one I try to avoid).

All the above is purely psychological and not based on anything scientific.

I actually used BP only then Shell, but now it I use Total and Engine because their are the most convenient. I think it's subjective.

I've tried every possible big name on my 335i.
Caltex, Engen, Shell, Total and Sasol. (No BP close to where i live)

I have found the following relevant to my 335i and how she operates:

Engen: Useless. Poor performance and consumption
Shell: Good performance but poor consumption
Total: Good consumption but not as much better performance
Sasol: better than above but not something i'll use everyday.
Caltex: Best performance and consumption

You might as well ask someone: "what oil is the best for my car"

Ask 10 people, and you will get 10 different answers.

Personally, I think its all the same!

Well if everyone answered and one sticks out through peoples personal experience then in all probability that one is better

Not so?

And which oil is better is also a valid question.

Valid question non the less, but opinions differ greatly hence my statement

I suppose a poll will dictate which fuel is the most popular.

Feel the same way as you, except for the the last two, for me they are switched with Sasol being the best performance and consumption.

They had an article on Ignition TV a while ago

By regulation all the fuels have to be exactly the same, up to the point of the addatives, that each individual company drops into their fuel, whatever these addatives are, and what they can actually do to the basic baseline of the fuel that everyone has.

So it depends on which addatives and advertising campaign draws your attention the most
