Best buy for 200 K

Hey fellow beemer fanatics - I need some opinions pleeeeese.
Im looking at trading the A3 in and getting something newer from around 2004.

What would be the car to buy for around R200 000 ?
So far im looking at a Z4 3.0 or 2.5 litre.

Other options are subaru WRX (no style) or a 350Z (again no style).
Ive never driven a Z4 but i thought id ask your opinions before I went ahead and had a look.

Also ive read some reviews saying the SMG version is clunky and no good and it would be better to get the manual. Any truth to this?

I wanted the Z3 Mcoupe but finance will probably be a mission due to the age.

mmm... out of motorplan... i will rather then neg with the guy to pay R150 000 rather than 160k...

Tips, the WRX is an awesome toy, and they are fantatic cars, just NOT as a daily driver.

I bought mine for 220, spent 100k on repairs on it, and sold it for 98 3 years later, and I did not crash it... That thing is money hungry, thirsty and somewhat unreliable, an awesome car however

This car has been on the market for a while now. Eish man, why oh why did I buy the GTI?
