Best b58 platform

Hi guys, I wanted to get some info from b58 owners in terms of there daily running costs fuel/maintenance and insurance.

I also want to get an idea of which b58 platform is the best for spirited driving and daily duties.

I guess it all depends on your needs. If you are buying it as a family car and to do your shopping trips, then you need
a 340i. If its just you, i would go for the supra.

Fuel consumption is directly linked to how heavy your foot is.

Any b58 is the best. Family guys 340i/440i GC..... Sportier feel M240/M140 (Im not a fan of the look on the 1 series so M240i gets my vote here)

Depending on Budget the G20 M340i has the revised TU engine. If space and what not is not an issue, Supra all day every day.

Insurance will be dependent on you and your history
Maintenance, nothing special, same as any other 6 cylinder turbo. Some (Like myself) just tend to maintain them better and shorten the intervals.
Fuel consumption is actually not bad at all, as mentioned above depends on your driving style. If you trap it, it will chow.

In terms of fuel it is way more economical than my W210 that's for sure. I used to drive about 20km per week-day and it used to run me around R1500 a month with heavy footing every now and then. Maintenance I am still with BMW so not going to have an amount as yet and then insurance is obviously complicated because it is dependant on a lot but I am a 34y/o male in Randburg in a secure house and closed garage, runs me R2500 pm. Hope I answered your first question.
