Hi Guys

Had some issues with alignment(hit a pothole), so had the car @ bmw and they say its a bent shock tower.
How dangerous is it to drive like this and can it be repaired or must it be replaced.

Telephone quote i got seems to be between R9000-R15000 depending on the damage.

Any help?

Thanks

Got a similar problem with my E36, well more to do with the domes on both sides. Only Potholes is responsible for this :bangdesk:

AFAIK it needs to be panelbeated and BMW does not do panelbeating unless its under MP, I could be wrong.

Is it dangerous ? depends how severe it is, my car is on its intial stages so I can still use it for while but will need attention towards end of this year

I had same damage on my E46 - R3500 damage
Then again on the E91 (Hit a pothole at 160  ) - R5500 damage
All fixed with BMW ARC.

Dangerous to an extent but car is still fully driveable obviously, it just causes your tyres to wear very unevenly.

:sorry: Ive been there 63 thou damage - whole front suspension damaged fro our fantastic roads. be carefull where you take it as they dont repair properly, the top mounting will also be damaged and it need to be prperly fixed.

U can drive fine like that - except it might wear your tires bad.
