Beemer things that are frowned upon

Hey everyone. Just wanted some opinions regarding things that are frowned upon in the bmw world. I know that putting M badges on non M cars are frowned upon. What else? Putting M3 or M4 spoilers and bumpers on non m cars? Would love to hear everyone’s opinions.

You should have the liberty to customize as you please, there is no Beemer police, its just you and your sweet ride :)
I think the car scene would be really boring if everyone followed the same recipe hence the need for all the wacky German machines out there.

IMO a no go is not using a BMW for the purpose it was built for, it goes against the essence of the brand. I cringe when I see Top Gear re-runs and Jezza hauling a beautiful E39 528i estate all the way across Africa, or James May butchering a Z3 across the Middle East.

Crap tyres... jeez when I see a high performance BMW with crap tyres it irritates me... especially if the owner talks about how 'they are wasting nice tyres on the road' or 'the tyre is made in the same factory as this big name brand' or 'I've never had a problem with them' - by all means put budget tyres on cars deserving of it but don't fit garbage onto your M or M Performance car or any 'nice' BMW for that matter.

Biggest pet peeve is really crappy poor quality parts or reps with crappy tyres on high performance M cars. Like surely if you can spend over a million on a car you can put a decent set of rubber on it.

Cheapskates and bargain hunters driving cars worth hundreds and thousands of Rands but will haggle and try to negotiate the price of every single thing

OH! My BIGGEST pet peeve is when I take my car for service, and then I find out later, he appropriated my parts to sell to someone else.

But thats just a localised phenomenon. Other members seem to be fine with that sort of behaviour.

Don't you just HATE when this happens and then the mechanic just claims he was borrowing the parts without your knowledge to 'test' them

My pet peeve will and always have to be cheap crappy tyres on your M car or any high end car. The look and cheapness just spoils it.
On my vehicles i always fit the tyres that it left the factory with even on my daily Corsa LDV.

The only vehicle i have a problem currently with is my Jetta, to find a decent brand with the sizes 205/50/15 is a mission.
