So guys, some of know that I am back in a BMW, I know it has taken me a while to put it up in the Showroom. Don't have many pics so will just add a few.
So I had an itch to sell the A4 Avant. When a buyer came forward to take my hand was forced and the opportunity arose to get back to BMW.
Contacted Gizmo to find what if he knew of any E60s for sale. He said why not check for an E83 X3, so I decided to.
He sourced me a few to check and we went, some lemons along the way were also found by me.
We went out and scouted and I eventually found a rather decent not perfect one in the West Rand.
I did the 1st check then got Gizmo to do the 2nd check, with a test drive, full diagnostics and basically to give me a yay or nay.
Turned out to be a yay:smilebounce:
So, specs:
2006
E83 X3 3.0D Sport A/T
273000km
Extras include panoramic roof and OEM tow bar.
It is not perfect, but definitely a car that can be brought to perfect order.
So far I have done about 3000km and it is a beautiful and comfortable ride.
As a reference point, Gizmo carried out an oil change, we also changed the air filter and diesel filter. Also front pads were changed. and a boost and vacuum leak was fixed.
On the to do list is, rear main oil seal, fron CV boots, windscreen cowel, EGR delete and DPF, new fogs, boot badge.
It runs much smoother after the service and new oil.
Big shout out to Gizmo for helping me out, and also to @Coisman for giving me the all clear.
