B47 EGR Recall?

Hi all,

I am trying to educate myself a little on my car. I am not very mechanically savvy on the more technical side of a car so keen to learn more. I came across a few articles on bimmerpost and bmwblog saying there was a recall for B47 motors including the 320d for EGR replacements. Does anyone else know about this? It might have been done on my car already before I bought but keen to know.

Thanks, I've checked there but not sure if one can always trust a website and how up to date it might be

It's administered by BMW SA... Seemed to he updated every time I used it. Remember with recalls it sometimes has to do with production windows, so maybe you get lucky and yours isn't one affected.

Jip mine was replaced in Jan 9n my 330d. Whst year is your 330d

It's for my 640d. My 330d doesn't have the Re-call

I had my egr cooler replaced today, the part took 24 hours to arrive and around 2 hours to fit and test

Hi Salt, could you give us some feedback on what happened when replacing the egr cooler on your car? Know it is an old post but am having some problems with my ex 2011 F25 3l diesel X3. Thanks man!
