Why a 4 post lift?
I know many car dealerships often sell their old 2 post lifts

I don't think these stands are great.
1.. you have to jack up each wheel individually.. just jack up the car and slide them under both wheels.
2.. Most work on cars entails taking the wheels off.. so then you back where you started.

Buy 4 good quality 3 legged stands from Midas and your done. Normally R200 ea and sometimes cheaper when they run specials.

With my stands I get around 400mm of lift from chassis of car to floor. More than enough to do almost any work.

2 or 4 post lift would be the best though...

I have seen this before. Like Luis said, it allows for limited work underneath as the wheels cannot be removed. (Exhaust, gearbox, fuel filters etc.)

Also, triple check that the handbrake is on! If a car is standing on its wheels, there is a great risk of rolling! A slight roll can cause major damage!

It just seems 'limited' in comparison to a set of four good 3 legged stands which is cheap in comparison! $500 is almost R7 500! And shipping would probably add another R2 500!

A nice idea though, fresh and something different.

I bought ratchet type, 3 legged stands from Adendorff, and I think I paid R295.00 per pair.
They work great
