Att: M3 drivers - tyre pressures please?

Hi all,

Yesterday I bit the bullet and decided to change to non-runflat tyres.

I organised a space saver spare wheel to carry in the boot, and I've fitted Hankook Ventus V12 Evos.

So far initial impressions are good, but I will wait for the tyres to scrub in a bit before pushing things a bit more.

Currently my pressures are as follows:
Front: 2.3Bar (33PSI)
Rear: 2.6 Bar (38PSI)

What pressures would you recommend? By the way, I've fitted 225-40-18 all-round.

I wanted to find out what M-drivers pump their tyres to? Apparently when switching to normal tyres from runflats, you have to up the pressures slightly. I am not sure about this though.

Recommended pressures for the runflats are 2.2bar in the front and 2.5bar at the rear.

Your help and advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

225 at the rear? WTF

Fit 245s at the rear on the 130i.

Tyre pressures when cold - 2.2 front, 2.4 back. This will ensure more even wear on M cars and most BMWs due to the camber.

If tyres are hot, add .2 bar.

The rims on my car are 7.5J front and 8J rear. Original tyres were 205-45-18 on the front and 225-40-18 at the rear.

On the facelift 1ers, the rear wheel is now a 8.5J - which can accomodate the wider tyres.

I think on the 8J rim, 245 tyres will look a bit fat, but I suppose I could always try it out sometime.

225's all round are fine for now, so far the car feels nicely balanced...
